I studied on the Ceramics and Glass course at Birmingham Polytechnic from 1974-77 and was privileged to be taught by Bill Heaton, who had previously been a master glassmaker at Whitefriars.
Bill showed me a range of traditional glassmaking techniques and skills that I still use today to create a range of glassware, traditional and contemporary, including airtwist stemware.
